Carole Lombard
You scored 23% grit, 14% wit, 38% flair, and 40% class!
You're a little bit of a fruitcake, but you always act out in style. You have a good sense of humor, are game for almost anything, but you like to have nice things about you and are attracted to the high life. You're stylish and modern, but you've got a few rough edges that keep you from attaining true sophistication. Your leading men include William Powell, Fredric March, and Clark Gable. Watch out for small planes.

Find out what kind of classic leading man you'd make by taking the Classic Leading Man Test.

I'm a fairly new member. So far I've joined some interesting groups, read some very entertaining journal entries, and changed my layout 2 or 3 times. This is my first journal entry. I don't have much to say right now, but I wanted to give a little intro about myself in my first entry so that anyone who stumbles on this page knows a little about this lit reader.

Let's see, where to start? I'm married with no kids, and I like it that way. Where would I find time to watch my favorite tv shows (The Office, My Name is Earl, Southpark, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Heros, and that's not counting all the BBC shows I love or some of the weird things I watch on Discovery or History Int'l), read, and go out to eat and to the movies if I had a child? I absolutely love football. Go Redskins and Roll Tide! I'll make another entry about football once Alabama announces their new head coach. Seriously, I don't get anything done on the weekend during football season for fear I'll miss a must see game. Is it just me or do I sound like a couch potato? Luckily, I have a laid back husband who doesn't mind helping me hold the couch down. My taste in music is quite eclectic. Here are a few of my favorites: Nirvana, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzie Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Godsmack, Audioslave, The Doors, Hendrix, Joplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice in Chains, BLS, AC/DC, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Marvin Gaye, and The Temptations. I also love classical music (but not opera), but I don't know much about it. Forgive me if some of my terminology is wrong, but I love all the emotions raised in me by some classical pieces. Sometimes I feel relaxed, happy, sad, and energized all during different parts of one piece, and by the end I might be in tears or giddy from the surge of emotions. It always amazes me how music without words can raise more varied and stronger feelings in me than many songs with words.

I'm a bit of a loner. I suspect that has something to do with the fact that I live in the south, but the only thing Southern about me is my accent. We've thought about moving, but there are too many things we like about where we live to move just because we have nothing in common with the majority of the locals. I love history and I have always wanted to travel, so we've been saving up for some nice vacations. I'm pretty comfortable with our travel fund, so this time next year we intend to start using those savings to travel. I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to let my husband choose the first trip. I've been trying to talk him into somewhere more appealing, but he won't budge. I'll tell you more about the destination he choose, and my failed attempts at persuading him to choose somewhere else in my next journal entry. In future journal entries I will probably post about books, football, movies & tv, my pets, history, travel, my job, people who annoy me (usually goes hand in hand with my job), and my family.
